The Sun
positive associations with this tarot card: happiness, greatness, enlightenment, vitality, good health, love, fulfillment. negative associations with this tarot card: misjudgement, delays, potential failure, inflated ego.
simply one of the best, if not the best, cards in the Tarot. The Sun is a most welcome card and a signal of very happy, joyous times. this card can represent holidays, good news around children or perhaps news or the conception or birth of a much wanted baby.
Directly from Tarot contest. This is my entry for the contest.

Someone will think this work will recall Mucha liberty's illustrations.
yes, it does. I know it, consider it a tribute to my favourit illustrator ever.
So we're talking about the tarot of sun.
I find it so simple to draw it as an Allegoria, drawing the Sun as a beautiful woman with wawy hair like sun-rays, and holding in a hand a sun-flower and in the other one some kind of grape.
The sunflower doesn't need to be explained...
I choose to put the grapes too as a symbol of wealth and abundance, as a symbol of happy time, and holiday too, like the grape harvest (the "Vendemmia").
And I choose grape because if you want to have a good wine, grapes have to grow and benefit under the summer sun.. ^_*
Illustrator and Photoshop. And lots of hours taken for colouring it.
